Rebecca Gold: chapter 3

I cant imagine living the life of Kris. Its heart breaking to see all of the struggles she is forced to go through. She meets a guy who genuinely cares about her and likes her and just like that, she looses him. Kris is constantly going through difficult times and changes and it seems like she never really catches a break. Also, the situation with her father is devastating. Her family was supported by her father, who is now an alcoholic, and is struggling. The tone of this memoir also completely changed from the beginning to where we are now in the memoir. In the beginning, her parents used to sit in the kitchen at night and laugh and drink a little alcohol. However, now its gotten to the point where her father has moved out of the house and Kris' mother is legitimately afraid of her husband. No family should live in a situation like this. If one parent is not happy, or chooses to live away from their home, then they should not be together. Coming from a family with divorced family I know what is feels like to live in a house that seems "broken". Thats why I feel like I can relate to Kris a lot on many levels.
