Kris is
so grown up now. She’s married, has her first child, and moved to Germany. It’s
hard to grasp that someone grew up so much in about a hundred pages. Her family
life is getting worse and her father is practically MIA. What will happen to
him? Also, Karma left and went her own way. What will become of her? Kris feels
that she made a mistake marrying Andrew and leaves with her two children back
to Arvada. Was this the right thing to do for the sake of Kris’s happiness?
Will Kris’s life turn around for her?
Kris’s
mother is trying to sell her house and it took forever because the house is
close to Rocky Flats. Everyone realizes now that Rocky Flats isn’t safe and the
area Kris’s family lived in is not safe to be around. I think it’s a really
good thing that Kris’s family is moving away from Rocky Flats. Maybe this will
help their chances of avoiding cancer.
The FBI
has finally gotten involved with Rocky Flats. They understand that something
bad is going on between those walls. A trial occurs over a span of two years. The
part about the case confused me. I don’t understand why they went through all
of it if some of the charges were dropped. I believe that Rocky Flats should be
shut down. It’s causing deadly diseases and unhappiness for a numerous amount
of people. Why is Rockwell taking all the charges? I continue to wonder, what
will become of this part of Colorado because of the Rocky Flats incident? So
many people have already moved away and no one wants to live there. Will the
area survive this problem?
