A Cause of Causes...
I'm reading a lot of good ideas regarding the group project. We should raise awareness of..., we should protest, we should apply our time and energy, etc.. The problem I'm having is that, while the ideas are good, shouldn't the idea or cause come first? I believe one of the goals of this class is to find our voice, to write with passion.
I keep thinking of ideas, and the same thought keeps coming back. Shouldn't we be passionate about a cause, rather then the mechanics of it? I do understand this is a class assignment.
Okay, here's my idea...
A lot of students have ideas, causes and whatnot that they are passionate about. However, they do not know how to make their voices heard. Maybe we should create a guide on just what options are available to making yourself heard. Viral marketing, letter writing, rally's, etc. are all ways to raise awareness about something. The question I have is how to choose the most effective for the idea, and then how to go about it.
