In chapter 6, I am shocked at Kristen's decisions. It's doesn't seem so much that she is still unaware of the dangers at Rocky Flats, but rather that she just chooses to ignore them. It would be extremely difficult to have to make a decision like this. She desperately needs the money, but at what point do you decide what's really the most important thing for your family: not getting sick. What good is money if you don't have your health? Exposing her sons to this is completely reckless. Even after Rocky Flats is on national television for it's dangers she still chooses to ignore the facts. I really hope her and her family don't end up with a sickness, but she's essentially asking for it. How much longer will it be?
