I am on the edge when it comes to my opinion of Kris’ current
decisions. I understand that she needs the money but working at Rocky Flats
doesn’t seem like a good idea. She assumes that because she grew up with the
contamination that a little more can’t hurt. Isn’t she afraid of bringing that
contamination back to her kids? I fear that the contamination will come to
affect her or her kids in some way. It’s true that a parent will do anything to
support their kids, but working at Rocky Flats does not seem to be the smartest
move. There has got to be another way. How long will Kris keep this job before
something terrible happens? Clearly she can’t die because she wrote this book.
But what will happen to the workers? What will happen to the community?
