FBB Chapters 4 and 5- Kasey Gould

                Chapters four and five of Full Body Burden were very interesting in the fact that Iverson wrote these chapters like Rocky Flats was finally going to get what it deserved for polluting the environment for so many years. When I first started reading about Kristen Iverson having her child and then talk about Rocky Flats to me it was a comparison of new life.  Kristen had a new husband and child to start fresh and I assumed Rocky Flats would be shut down and that would be a new life for the residents of Colorado. Clearly I was wrong after reading. I was so interested in reading chapter five because I thought I’d read about a court case about a government agency actually taking responsibility for something they did wrong, but I was way off. Of course the government pulled strings, covered up, and straight up neglected facts about Rocky Flats and let off the DOE and Rockwell with plea bargains and fines. I don’t understand how the government can get away with being that ignorant, but somehow they do.
