The comparisons between Kristens life and the state of the Rocky Flats plant continues. As her new life begins, the Rocky Flats plant comes to an end. I am upset that the managers, and other people responsible, did not get in the trouble they deserve. Though at the same time the damage was done very long ago, and I find it hard to believe that if they fully understood the problems they were causing it would not have continued. The pressure brought on by the arms race, and the lies they easily could have told themselves, its not hard to understand why something like that could happen. I think the story has become less about an evil, secret government, and more about a government that makes mistakes. Now that she is an adult, will the relationship between her and Colorado continue? Her divorce may or may not be foreshadowing of things to come.
