Loren Killian fbb ch. 3

In chapter 3 things just keep getting worse for Kristen. Her father doesn't really live with them anymore after he has to go to court. It was very responsible of Kristen to get a job because she knows she needed the money. I think Kurt getting sick should really hit home for their family. I'm really happy that Kristen met Mark. She needed some type of companionship and someone she could trust. Her mother stresses her out a lot. She's always calling Kristen and asking her to come home from school. College is hard enough to begin with, never mind having to worry about taking care of your mom. I like the fact that the protesters at Rocky Flats continue to go back again and again after they keep getting arrested. Mark's death seems so unfair. He was all Kristen really had, and she seemed in shock when she was told. I think this tragedy is going to weigh heavily on her in the future.
