Ryan Panko- Chapter 7

So many times we have asked, "Why did she write this book?" In this chapter, we get a clear answer from Iversen on page 283. She says see wants to write a book about the two things in life that scared her the most. These two things are her Dad's alcoholism and Rocky Flats. Iversen continues to say how she traveled looking for something to write about, but it turns out that what she should write about was right in from of her. Sometimes when we seek answers they are hiding in plain sight.
In this chapter we also read about Tamara and Randy, two people incredibly influenced by Rocky Flats. We read about Randy and the fire. Randy seems to be portrayed almost as a hero as he deals with the fire. Tamara has medical issues. She rids of her first lemon-sized tumor, but others come. Her medical issues get worse and worse. A lot happened in this chapter. We hear a lot about Randy and Tamara, and most importantly, why the book was written.
