Full Body Burden Chapter 3
In the latest chapter, Kristen is our age and therefore easier to relate to. Her parents relationship is terrible to witness especially when you can relate and are familiar with the type of situation. It’s unfortunate that Kris has to go through having parents who set bad examples and do not educate her properly. Her mother acts like she needs Kristen’s support rather than giving her support...like a reversed role. With a father who acts like more of a teenager than she does, I think Kristen handles her horrific position in her family pretty well.
Kristen’s strength parallels with Lauren’s. Both of them were born into situations that they have no control over. Not only with their family problems, but also with corruption of the government. On one hand the government does not do anything, on the other they keep secrets from innocent people. Either way both books are warnings of the government in today’s future in one way or another.
