Full Body Burden Ch.1- Shelby Gallant
Full Body Burden already has so much going on in only the first chapter. I find it hard to keep up with all the people and how they connect with the Rocky Flats. It surprised me that only about 50 pages in there have already been multiple fires. This is a red flag to me. If it is that easy for the plant to catch fire it makes me question just how dangerous it can get. The surrounding town clearly is in a lot of trouble if the people managing the plant can't keep it under control. I already get the feeling that this surrounding area will suffer- and not in a small way at all. Another thing that confused me is why a family with multiple children, small children at that, would move into a risky area like this. I feel as though any living environment that makes you sign some what of a "release form" isn't a place to be living, regardless of the other homes there. This book gives me the feeling that this surrounding area near the plant and all the people living there will suffer greatly.
