          For the first time in the book I actually had hope for earthseed and Lauren. In the desolate world, the group was able to find other good people. It had always struck me as depressing that everyone had to live in fear of being robbed or killed every second of the day. Although the feeling still persists for Lauren and her group, she now has helped and met other people who are willing to work together with them. Everyone who is with them now are willing to trust each other and share their items in order to make it north successfully. The people in the group are also beginning to accept the ideas of earthseed.This is something that I wasn't sure was going to happen, as many people can not look past the religions that already exist. Travis, Harry, and Zarrah have accepted the ideas because it calls for a community that watches each others backs. The world outside is still decaying though as people still run towards the misfortune of others hoping to survive a little longer. Everywhere they walked a burning community could be seen which even showed that Robledo was never the first or last community to die like it did. Hopefully though earthseed will guide the world to a better place in some way, shape or form.
