Ryan Panko Chapter 2

                Kristen is going through tough times. Her town is being affected by toxins and her family life is not healthy. Family and community: two incredibly important parts of anyone’s life. Kristen’s father is causing more problems; problems traced back to alcohol. Putting others’ lives at risk is no joke. Her father refuses to admit to his driving under the influence, but as readers we know that he has a problem. Growing up in a dysfunctional family can be extremely damaging to a child, but I believe that Kristen has a good head on her shoulders and will pull through the struggles of her life. However, I fear that the troubles are only going to grow. I would not be surprised to see someone close die due to the problems at Rocky Flats. People are getting sick and communities are contaminated. It is only a matter of time before it gets worse.
