Loren Killian Parable of the Sower 86-125

In this section of Parable and the Sower it is interesting to hear Lauren's views about marriage. She says "if all I have to look forward to was marriage to him and babies and poverty that just keeps getting worse, I think I'd kill myself". I completely understand where she is coming from. What's the point of marrying and bringing children into the picture when people are too poor to even care for themselves? Keith took a big risk the fist time he ran away, and he was lucky enough to make it back alive the first time. I don't think their parents should have given him the BB gun. He should have had to wait until he was 15 to shoot anything just like everyone else. That gave him the confidence he needed to run away a second time, and it was partially his parents fault. When he came back this time he acted like he did nothing wrong but he had become a robber. Eventually, Keith gets brutally murdered, but it's no surprise. Cory is pretty adamant about taking a chance on Olivar, but the rest of the family doesn't agree. Lauren discovers that there won't be any big explosion that destroys the neighborhood. It's slowly dwindling day by day. She also makes a plan to teach when she finally has to leave. this seems to be her best bet at survival.
