Starting this book, I was really confused at first.
I wasn’t really sure what to expect, but when she started it out as telling a
life story I was content. It was easy to be who I was and still see how she
described her childhood. But then Iversen switched to give me a whole lot of
mindboggling facts that were supposed to help me understand how her life would
be affected in the future.
Once
I came to understand what Iversen was trying to tell me, I became very disappointed
in humanity. To think I live in a country where this was all allowed to happen appalls
me. I clearly grew up sheltered to find this so inconceivable, but I feel like
Iverson’s parents. I tend to think “If something I truly dangerous, the
government will tell me.”
